Our Story & History

Founded with deep passion for inclusion, OCDF works tirelessly to break barriers, create opportunities, and ensure that every child with special needs can live with dignity, independence, and hope.

The Beginning

The Osita Chifumnaya Disabilities Foundation (OCDF) is a registered non-profit organization committed to transforming the lives of children living with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, and other developmental disabilities. The organization was launched on April 26, 2025, to cater for the psychological, economical, emotional and physical needs of children living with various forms of disabilities.

Founded by Ms. Okpa M.G.B Aishat, a retired banker and renowned philanthropist, OCDF was created to provide comprehensive support to children living with disabilities. We believe that disability is not inability, and our programs are designed to unlock the full potential of every child.

Through our dedicated team and partners, we strive to create remarkable long-term positive change and empower children living with disabilities to reach their full potential. Our work spans rehabilitation, education, quality healthcare, advocacy, grant support, capacity building and family support, ensuring holistic care and long-term impact.
